1. Government & Institutional Non-Affiliation
CBC Schemes of Work (accessible at cbcschemes.co.ke) is an independent, privately developed educational technology portal created to streamline lesson planning, term sequencing, and document preparation for educators in Kenya.
This platform is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), or the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
2. Curriculum Designs & Syllabi
All Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) curriculum designs, strands, sub-strands, specific learning outcomes, key inquiry questions, core competencies, and values referenced throughout our generator are based upon published national curriculum frameworks authored by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
These designs are cited for educational reference and pedagogical organization purposes. While we strive for 100% alignment with current 2026 designs, teachers are advised to consult their official printed KICD curriculum design handbooks and school administration directives when submitting final pedagogical records.
3. Textbook & Publisher Citations
Our scheme generation engine references approved curriculum textbooks and teacher guides—including Kenya Literature Bureau (KLB Top Scholar & Early Hour), Mentor, Oxford University Press, Longhorn Publishers, Moran Publishers, and Mountain Top Publishers.
All textbook titles, trademarks, and book covers remain the intellectual property of their respective registered publishing houses. Mention of these titles serves solely to assist teachers in correlating their classroom lessons with the specific textbooks distributed in their schools.
4. Professional Adaptation & Appraisal
Schemes of work generated on this site provide a structured baseline. Under Teachers Service Commission (TSC) guidelines and the Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) system, educators are expected to exercise professional judgement by modifying lesson timings, customizing learning resources, noting individual learner interventions, and completing the post-lesson reflection column after teaching.
