Welcome to CBC Schemes of Work (cbcschemes.co.ke). By accessing, browsing, generating, previewing, or downloading schemes of work from this platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Pedagogical Purpose & Usage
CBC Schemes of Work is an independent educational productivity portal designed to support teachers, headteachers, instructional leaders, and student teachers in Kenya. We index the official 2026 Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) designs published by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) to enable educators to organize, sequence, and customize their weekly teaching plans with ease.
Teachers are responsible for adapting generated schemes to their individual class sizes, learner abilities, school timetables, and available institutional resources to satisfy Teachers Service Commission (TSC) appraisal (TPAD) and quality assurance requirements.
2. Intellectual Property & Curriculum Frameworks
Government Curriculum Designs: The underlying Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) syllabus frameworks, strands, sub-strands, specific learning outcomes, and key inquiry questions are the intellectual property of the Government of Kenya and the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). They are referenced on this platform for educational, non-exclusive reference and pedagogical implementation purposes under fair use.
Software & Digital Compilations: The software engine, code, automated 3-term distribution algorithms, user interfaces, document export builders (.docx/.pdf), and database architectures powering cbcschemes.co.ke are the exclusive intellectual property of CBC Schemes of Work.
Commercial Reselling Prohibited: You may not scrape, resell, mass-distribute, or commercially republish our raw curriculum database or platform software without explicit written permission.
3. Digital Downloads & M-Pesa Unlocking
While curriculum browsing, previewing, and editing remain free and accessible, certain instant export formats (such as formatted Microsoft Word .docx files or PDF bundles) may require a nominal processing fee to sustain server hosting, API integrations, and database maintenance.
- Instant Delivery: Payments are processed via Safaricom M-Pesa Express (STK Push). Once payment is confirmed, the selected document is unlocked and made available for instant download.
- Refund Policy for Digital Goods: Because digital downloads are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all completed download transactions are generally final. However, if an M-Pesa transaction was debited but technical issues prevented file generation, our support team will promptly generate your document or re-credit your purchase upon receiving your Safaricom confirmation code.
4. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer
Our schemes are generated to the highest standard based on approved curriculum designs. However, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. In no event shall CBC Schemes of Work or its developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from errors, syllabus revisions by the Ministry, examination performance, or temporary service interruptions.
5. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any legal proceedings arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kenya.
